Those two artist are from Zaire (Congo). The story behind this album can be found on the Blood And Fire forum in 2005. Quite interesting.

What an extraordinary record this is. The sleevenotes describe how Scratch adopted a group of Zairian musicians who had been left trapped on Jamaica after a recording rip off and fused them with his band of session artists, including the incomparable Scully and Stitch, the plainitve pair of Dacosta and Bennet on sax and Earl Chinna Smith on guitar.I think that Guipimbu Gienn may be one of the most beautiful tacks laid down at Black Ark. If you can find it, buy it without hesitation.

This wonderful soukous/reggae hybrid--the only one of its kind?--bears the same intriguingly murky stamp as all of Lee "Scratch" Perry's Black Ark-era productions. Seke Molenga and Kalo Kawongolo (who recorded this collection of songs and then dropped off the face of the earth, apparently) could have done this album at a different studio under the supervision of another producer, but thank God they didn't. In addition to giving the music precisely the ambience it needed, Perry co-wrote the brilliantly quirky 'Bad Food' (second best track after the hypnotic, brass-heavy 'Mengieb') with Molenga and Kawongolo. 'Nzube' and 'Masanga' are fine outtakes.
