Franklyn MacCormack, born March 8, 1906, in Waterloo, Iowa, one of five children, Franklyn forsook a college education for the theater. His association with Wayne King, one of the great band leaders of the early days of radio, lasted for twelve years. During this time he recorded his famous "Melody of Love" with the Waltz King, which has sold over two million copies to date. Mr. MacCormack was a member of the WBBM radio staff in Chicago from 1932 until 1939. He free-lanced until his return to WBBM-TV in 1954 and then on WGN. Was an all-night deejay in Chicago in the 1950s and 1960s.

Franklyn MacCormack (March 8, 1906 – June 12, 1971) was an American radio personality in Chicago, Illinois from the 1930s into the 1970s. After his death, Ward Quaal, the president of the last company for which MacCormack worked, described him as "a natural talent and one of the truly great performers of broadcasting's first 50 years. Peaceful World is the eighth studio album (a double-LP) by rock band The Rascals, released in May 1971. It peaked at number 122 on the Billboard 200 chart. The single "Love Me" reached number 95 on the Billboard Hot 100. Vocalist Eddie Brigati left the Rascals in August 1970, with guitarist Gene Cornish leaving the following month.
