Slow Jam: Absolutely banging track and one of the highlights of the whole darkside era for me. I will never tire of waiting for the mentasm to fire off. Amazing work, Mr B.

Slow Jam is one of those tracks which I have labelled myself as 'the missing link' between 1991-1992 UK Breakbeat Hardcore and the evolution of Jungle/Drum n Bass sometime in 1993. A track like this sits perfectly in between, you can't say it's any of the styles, but a perfect fusion of both.Other tracks in this line are 'Warped Kore - The Power' and 'Metalheads ‎– Terminator'.

"Putting most of us to sleep,in the 90"s ,with too many,i said too many Slowjams, and i wanna know where is the beats for the mind and for the feet ,not those songs that"s putting me to sleep" My gosh ,if there were any way i could rate this record ,it would be a 6 out of 5.Slowjam!This track is and always will be "timeless",i really do not know what was going on in Bizzy Bz head while making this tune, its one of the most insane tunes he has made, It still sounds so damn good, even if i compare it with BizzyBz other great(er) works. After the quote at the begining of the track, the has tune a amen break with a special twist(still trying to find out the exact sample source),and the track contains some dark soundscapes and horiffic samples, especially just after the middle of the track where the awesome mentazm kicks in ,which will make anyone who is in to hardcore jungle/rave just have the shivers on their back....Believe Me!As for the 2 next tracks i must say,Revolution mixes are not too diffrent from each other though they really stand out even though they are more listening tracks to me ,and last but not least "Xtc Is A Science",a very well constructed track with lots of things happeing like, breaks going all sides slicing and diceing the amens,a thing that bizzy b is an expert in and of cousre his breakdowns, some serious sampling. For me the one that Stands out the most is the insane track SlowJam, I remember it being on a compilation Cd called Rauschen Volume 5 (Forze Inc Rec)and the funny thing is that ist"s a German label that was when i first heard this track in 1995.If you have not heard this track before, then you are missing out a true classic!Big up to the Brain Records Kru, and of course to my friend Brian.

the amen break he uses is called (amongst other things) "break with no name" and can be found on this cd: http://www.discogs.com/Wishdokta-James-Hyman-Post-Modern-Breaks-Vol-1/release/161422 (amongst others!).
