On a Mission is the debut studio album by British singer Katy B. The album was released on April 1, 2011, by Rinse and Columbia Records and in the United States on September 13. Katy worked with producers and writers DJ Zinc, Benga, and Rinse FM founder Geeneus. Katy had been recording songs for the album since June 2007 and continued recording for three years until December 2010. The album was heavily influenced by the singer’s life experiences and her journey into the music world.

Children is the second regular studio album by the British rock-band The Mission. It was released in February 1988 by Mercury Records. Two singles were released from the album, "Tower of Strength" and "Beyond the Pale". A third single, "Kingdom Come", was scheduled but appeared as a promo-only. Singer Julianne Regan (from the band All About Eve) sang vocals on two tracks - "Beyond the Pale" and "Black Mountain Mist". The album was re-issued in 2007 with four bonus tracks.

Kathleen Anne Brien (born 8 May 1989), better known as Katy B, is an English singer-songwriter and musician. She is an electronica, house, dubstep, R&B, dance and UK garage artist. She released her debut album, On a Mission, in 2011, which spawned two top five hits, "Katy on a Mission" and "Lights On". In 2014 she released her second album, Little Red, which produced her third top five hit, "Crying for No Reason". She was nominated for the 2011 Mercury Prize.

The album might as well have been written in the smoking area of Fabric. Commercial dance music in 2011 was almost totally dominated by Taio Cruz, Pitbull and their gang of nightlife fantasists, singing about DJs, dancefloors and shawtys that existed only in their schoolboy imaginations. Katy's was a quiet, veracious voice that told them what it's really like. The Mercury-nominated On a Mission turned Katy B in to a dubstep star.
