Keep It Coming" has that funky drive we've come to expect, but now with added twang (the twang is even more pronounced on "Snowblind"). Richard Davis brings a Brit-pop sensibility to his vocals on "Another Way," which sits uneasily against the electronic thumping underneath, whereas he fits in more to the spare-to-slamming "My House.

Loops From The Bergerie ‎(CD, Album, Dig). I am finding a lot of depth in the sound and a lot of very good tracks in the album. Perhaps a big problem with Swayzak is the total lack of coherence in a single album. The band is great with singles, and does fantastic mixes, but has a definite problem in putting together a solid album (Dirty Dancing was that, but nothing came close after that). Anyway listening to Loops again almost 10 years later, I find the album very good. It is not "in your face" stuff that gets immediate attention, but has a lot of depth and finesse. Bass is nice and clean, very british.

Swayzak are a British duo comprised of David "Brun" Brown and James Taylor who produce minimal dub techno laden with vocals. The group are now into their fourth album, "Loops From the Bergerie", the title being a play on Serge Gainsbourg's 60s soundtrack to the movie "Les Loups dans la Bergerie". The Bergerie is the name of a country house near Montpellier which was converted into a studio and its influence played a big part in the creation of the album. Rather than creating the album on a laptop, Swayzak replaced it with analog equipment from the 70s and 80s. Percussionist Francesco Brini incorporated live instruments into the sound as well

Retired to a chateau in the French Alps (the Grande Bergerie of the title), Swayzak peered down from their high perch and presently gave the world a record that sounds much less dirty than Dirty Dancing, much less detailed than Himawari, and much less sublime than their debut classic, Snowboarding in Argentina. Encompassing several vocal collaborations with Richard Davis of the band's 240 Volts label (as well as two vocals from Swayzak's own David Brown), Loops From the Bergerie includes little of substance, only a few straight-ahead dance-vocal productions with a bare few hooks.
