Michail Jurowski conducts the Polish Sinfonia Juventus, Warsaw Philharmonic and Artos Children’s choirs and an exceptional cast for the world premiere recording and performance of Anton Rubinstein’s monumental opera Moses. The project, an immense declaration of faith and culture (Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung), is the realisation of a dream of Maestro Jurowski who has dedicated years to the preparation and restoration of the score to this lost treasure of the 19th century. The album was recorded in October 2017. It received its world premiere complete performance on 15 October, 2017, with the same cast, at Warsaw’s National Philharmonic Hall. The performance and recording were supported by both the Polish Committee for UNESCO and Poland’s Ministry of Culture and National Heritage.

The live recording captures the American composer’s remarkable score (The Guardian), containing some of the strongest, most impassioned music of Adams’ caree. n immensely potent work (The New Yorker).
