Enrique Bonne is the founder of television in Santiago de Cuba, where he worked as the program director and performed multiple tasks for almost 20 years. He was a radio announcer at Santiago stations during the 1950s and in 1961 his famous 50 percussionists of the Tambores de Bonne, imposed his style on each presentation in the different carnavals in the country. He was a member of the National Council of the Union of writers and artists of Cuba (UNEAC), and President of that organization in the subsidiary of Santiago as well as President of the Asociación de Música de la UNEAC.
