Artimus Pyle released the extremely beloved album 'Fucked from Birth' which is comprised of some of the most listened to work from the Artimus Pyle collection. Artimus Pyle's Fucked From Birth was the second record I've gotten in the last few months that represents an unusual hybrid. These bands have seemingly blended the abrasive qualities of bands like the Locust with the groove of west-coast grindcore, the fury of early 90's hardcore and the political convictions and aesthetic disregard of crust bands. Bottom Line: This is the sort of album that I would highly recommend with the qualification that I won't be held responsible if you don't like it. If you're one of those people always saying how they're bored with bands that all sound the same or looking for something new or interesting, and you don't at least give Artimus Pyle a listen, you're really just cheating yourself. Here's a band doing their own thing, doing it well and making one hell of a record.
