Ode is a poem written by the English poet Arthur O'Shaughnessy and first published in 1873. It is often referred to by its first line We are the music makers. The Ode is the first poem in O'Shaughnessy's collection Music and Moonlight (1874). It has nine stanzas, although it is commonly believed to be only three stanzas long. The opening stanza is: We are the music makers, And we are the dreamers of dreams, Wandering by lone sea-breakers, And sitting by desolate streams;-.

Calls them ‘the music-makers’, and ‘dreamers of dreams’. Since it avoids mention of a particular art-form, it applies equally to artists across the globe, across different segments He is the one who shall go ahead and conquer a crown. It is the element of fantasy and something mythic, that revs anyone to move forward and outdo themselves. The ‘crown’ refers to an extraordinary achievement. The poet adds to say if more (three) people come together on any such new, novel idea (new song’s measure), they can trample an empire down. That huge is the potential of artistry! At its symbolic height, it reminds one that popular adage - ‘The pen is mightier than the sword’. The artists can bring more change in people’s mind than anyone else.

Our little three-piece band now sounded huge. Kramer’s unusual mixes are still hard to place as either ’80s or ’90s, and that’s a feature of many of these dream pop records: sounds that you don’t identify with a particular year, songs that are not tailored by hit producers for commercial radio play. Jack Tatum’s first album as Wild Nothing is full of songs that exist just outside the margins of your memory: Haven’t I heard this before? Isn’t this guitar part familiar? Didn’t an ex-boyfriend make me a mixtape with Drifter sandwiched between Cocteau Twins deep cuts? Tatum put Gemini together while studying at Virginia Tech, and its amateurish charm separates the album from his more expansive, polished later work.

We are the music-makers, And we are the dreamers of dreams, Wandering by lone sea-breakers, And sitting by desolate streams. World-losers and world-forsakers, Upon whom the pale moon gleams; Yet we are the movers and shakers, Of the world forever, it seems. With wonderful deathless ditties We build up the world's great cities, And out of a fabulous story We fashion an empire's glory: One man with a dream, at pleasure, Shall go forth and conquer a crown; And three with a new song's measure Can trample an empire down
