This collection of ten blues and blues-rock tracks represents jazz guitarist Scott Henderson's tribute (if not complete return) to the emotive guitar playing of his early guitar influences: Jimmy Page and Albert King. Released in 1994 after a string of highly acclaimed jazz fusion recordings, Dog Party won equal approval from the fickle guitar virtuoso press and fan base, winning every important magazine readers poll for best blues recording
Tore Down House is a 1997 album from guitarist Scott Henderson. For this second solo-album (a departure from the work with his fusion band Tribal Tech), he once again wrote and recorded a collection of blues music. The album features mostly vocal tunes, mixed with three instrumental tracks. It also features a cover version of "Continuum", originally a Jaco Pastorius song, and a re-recording of "Same as You", which appeared on Henderson's first blues album, Dog Party.
