Description

Brilliant track from the 70's. The Man Who Sold The World" by Lulu was released in 1974 on the Polydor record label.

The Man Who Sold the World" is a song written and performed by David Bowie. It is the title track of his third album, which was released in the US in November 1970 and in the UK in April 1971. The song has been covered by a number of other artists, notably by Lulu, who had a UK No. 3 hit with her version in 1974, and Nirvana, whose 1993 performance of the song for the television program MTV Unplugged introduced it to a new audience.

The Man Who Sold the World is the third studio album by English rock artist David Bowie. It was originally released in the United States by Mercury Records on 4 November 1970, and then in April 1971 in the United Kingdom. He recorded the album with producer Tony Visconti at Trident Studios in London and Advision Studios in central London. The album's hard rock style was a departure from the largely acoustic music of Bowie's previous self-titled album

Oh no, not me I never lost control You're face to face With the man who sold the world. Who knows? Not me We never lost control You're face to face With the man who sold the world. Who knows? Not me We never lost control You're face to face With the man who sold the world

Her version of "The Man Who Sold the World" is great. It was produced by Bowie himself, so you know it has his approval. Watch That Man" is less interesting. The balance of this material was produced by Wes Farrell, also responsible for The Patridge Family records; so expect bubblegum. Even so, her delivery of "Groovin'" is stunning. The version of "Do Right Man" on here will make you wish her contract with Atco had lasted longer. These tracks harken back to her soulful recordings while she was with Atco/Atlantic. It is a true gem along with "Baby I Don't Care". Lulu is a truly great singer and this CD contains 21 tracks. If you like Lulu, how can you go wrong with that many songs?

It is the title track of his third album, which was released in the . in November 1970 and in the UK in April 1971. The song’s title is similar to that of Robert A. Heinlein’s 1949 science fiction novella The Man Who Sold the Moon, with which Bowie was familiar. However, the song has no similarities to the story in the book

Текст песни Lulu – "The Man Who Sold The World". We passed upon the stair,, We spoke of was and when, Although I wasn't there,, He said I was his friend, Which came as some surprise. Not me. We never lost control You're face to face With the man who sold the world Who knows? Not me. We never lost control You're face to face With the man who sold the world.

Okay, first of all the song 'Man Who Sold the world' was a single by David Bowie way back in November 1970, and it was covered by nirvana and released in 1994. I grew up listening to nirvana and always found cobain's rendition to my liking, but the interpretation of the song is based on Bowie. The arrangements are similar. This is The Man Who Sold the World record. He's like, 'Yeah, this is really cool. I said, 'You should check out Hunky Doryand stuff.

Personally I like her version better than Nirvana's.
