Crown Heights Affair are an American R&B, funk, disco group from Brooklyn, New York City, founded in 1967. Originally known as Ben Iverson and the Nue Dey Express on Britne Records, founded by then-bassist Donnie Linton, the group was renamed for a neighborhood in Brooklyn.

Crown Heights Affair had a string of hits beginning with the number five R&B/Top 40 hit "Dreaming a Dream" in the summer of 1975 and also including the Top 20 R&B hits "Every Beat of My Heart,""Foxy Lady," - not the Jimi Hendrix classic - and "Dancin. Though the title track of their 1980 LP Sure Shot managed to chart number 72 in the summer of 1980, it was an album track that garnered the most attention.
