This recording by violinist Kazuo Okumura and violist Hans Dusoswa is not only enjoyable while it's on, but, like the perfectly chilled Vouvray on a warm summer evening, it's unforgettable after it's over. Okumura's warm tone and strong personality dominate the music, but Dusoswa's rich tone and supportive accompaniment ideally balance the ensemble.

Japanese violinist Kazuo Okumura was principal violinist in the Concertgebouw Orchestra, Amsterdam, Netherlands. Hans Dusoswa studied alto with Klaas Boon in Amsterdam. After playing several years in the Zürich Tonhalle Orchestra he returned to the Netherlands and joinded the alto group in the Concertgebouw Orchestra.
