Red Animal War is a rock band from Dallas, Texas that started in 1998 as Jeff Wilganoski, Jamie Shipman, Matt Pittman, and Justin Wilson. During the recording of their first album, Brian Pho replaced Jamie Shipman. Jeff Davis replaced Brian Pho in 2004, and Tony Wann came on as second drums later that year. Todd Harwell replaced Jeff Wilganoski in 2006, and after a SXSW performance the band went on indefinite hiatus. They released four records and two seven-inches, and showed up on many compilations. They toured Europe three times and North America many times over.

Chryse Planitia (Greek, "Golden Plain") is a smooth circular plain in the northern equatorial region of Mars close to the Tharsis region to the west, centered at 28°24′N 319°42′E, 2. °N 31. °E. Chryse Planitia lies partially in the Lunae Palus quadrangle, partially in the Oxia Palus quadrangle, partially in the Mare Acidalium quadrangle
Here you see the rampart at the edge of an ejecta blanket that comes from an approximately r (10-mile-diameter) crater, about 16 kilometers (10 miles) to the east. For years there has been a debate about whether these lobes and ramparts were formed by ejecta interacting with the thin Martian atmosphere, or whether they formed because volatiles (such as water or ice) in the subsurface were incorporated into the ejecta material excavated by the impact. The common consensus is now in favor of the volatile hypothesis
Acidalia Planitia is a large basin in Mars' northern lowlands, a dark splotch visible even from Earth telescopes. Many of the greatest canyon systems on Mars - from Valles Marineris to Kasei, Ares, and Tiu Valles - can be followed into Chryse Planitia, which must have collected vast amounts of floodwaters that carried on northwards until they reached bottom in Acidalia Planitia. Zoom toward Acidalia Planitia from space and the first thing you'll notice is the occasional sharp-rimmed impact craters with splatty outlines.
What's new with Mars. The brighter region at the bottom of this VIS image is the relative highlands of Arabia Terra, while the rest of the image shows Chryse Plainitia. The boundary between the two regions is a large change in elevation as well as differences in surface texture. These false color images may reveal subtle variations of the surface not easily identified in a single band image. Explore more THEMIS Images of the Day by geological subject
Tonight Red Animal War are playing their first show in years to celebrate the 15 year anniversary of the album and the re-release of the album on vinyl. Longtime Red Animal War comrade Eric Grubbs did an interview with Justin to discuss the upcoming show. Thanks Eric & Dallas Observer! .
One of these is Red Animal War, who inaugurate their seventh year of existence with the appropriately titled Seven Year War, which draws five songs from compilations and 7"s and adds two live tracks and six new songs to help round it out. What results is a collection of jagged, raw, and dense post-hardcore that can offer moments of solemn, concentrated reflection ("FFB," which offers a short, random African tribal beat sample at its end), or juggernauts of full-throttle, hoarse-throated rock ("The Insanity").
Red Animal War is an indie rock, post hardcore band from Dallas, Texas that is one of the most original bands of their genre (which is often questionable). Mixing elements of math and progressive rock into dark drum and bass beats (and a voice that can be very hooky), they often are compared to some of the most technical bands out there. The band came together in 1999 with musical friends Justin Wilson (guitar/vocals), Jeff Wilganowski (drums), Brian Pho (bass), and Matt Pitman (guitar). Red Animal War. ПодписатьсяПодпискаПодписка.
Guys, I know this isn't the original album cover, but I think it's an amazing picture, and I believe it represents Pink Floyd's legacy and success throughout these years. This song was posted as a tribute to Syd Barrett. So, so you think you can tell Heaven from Hell, Blue skys from pain. And did they get you to trade Your heros for ghosts? Hot ashes for trees? Hot air for a cool breeze? Cold comfort for change? And did you exchange A walk on part in the war For a lead role in a cage? How I wish, how I wish you were here. We're just two lost souls Swimming in a fish bowl, Year after year, Running over the same old ground. What have we found? The same old fears. I do not own anything.
