Sluice Room’s self-titled debut is an unusual and rewarding listen. Released by Sink Slop Processing, a label based in Seattle, Washington, the first thing one notices about the CD is the unusual packaging with a detachable plastic braille insert, which is a first for me and likely many others. Sluice Room’s vocals feature heavily throughout and a throbbing, looping wall of noise is created and maintained over the course of the album with plenty of sonic variation that sounds too considered to have been fully improvised. Listening on headphones reveals a thoughtful and well-crafted sonic palate with a relative paucity of low-end and plenty of reverb.

Thus, how should a sluice room be designed to serve perfectly in a medical centre? Four key elements are required in setting up a sluice room:, soiled area, where dirty items are gathered. hand washing station. flusher disinfectors for human waste containers (such as: Bedpans, urinals, support for disposable bedpans, commode buckets, kidney-shaped basins).

Talisman is the self-titled first studio album by hard rock band Talisman, released in 1990 through Airplay/Vinylmania. Jeff Scott Soto – vocals. Christopher Ståhl – guitar. Mats Lindfors – guitar, mixing.

Life (Talisman album). This album was written in Jeff Scott Soto's house over a couple weeks time in March 1995. This time they opted for convenience, recording everything separately, drums in Park studios, bass in Marcel Jacob’s pad, guitars in a small room just outside Stockholm. The tapes were then sent to Jeff in Los Angeles where he would do vocal overdubs. The first time the band was all together in the same room was during mixing. Although there are some great tracks on the album, maybe it should have been done differently. The mixing was done by Mats Lindfors. Marcel was unhappy with the result

Review by Traumatic Static Webzine - http://traumaticstaticwebzine.blogspot.com/2016/02/review-sluice-room-reverse-viscera.htmlA Sluice Room is where used disposables such as incontinence pads and bed pans are dealt with, and reusable products are cleaned and disinfected. So in other words, I'd expected this to be somesort of clinical Death Industrial release alongthe lines of WHITE WALLS, SHP, Etc...This was not the case. "Reverse Viscera Talisman" is the firstrelease from the new label Sink Slop who claim torelease "Prescription-Strength Noise" and aftergiving this a spin I can say that is a pretty accurate description as this stuff is like a badtrip or an audio overdose. So far the label has three releases out, All from the SLUICE ROOM project and I am quite excited to hear more from these guys...But for now, Lets get intojust exactly what it is we are dealing with here.I.) OH, I CAN HEAR THE GORE INSIDE ME!:The Sink Slop Records website describes this E.P. in thefollowing way: "Your innards resonate with the sounds of a banned horror film. Listen with enraptured ear this night, that you may know the ignorant sorcery that created you. Then invert and banish the disease with this talisman of ecstatic noise from Sluice Room."That's one way to sum it up. Here is my take on it.I don't know what a reverse viscera talisman is exactly, (Some sort of inverted occult charm fashioned from organs?) But I am sure the process of creating one may sound something like this. Track one opens sounding like a live Black Metal gig pressed to vinyl and then slowly spun in reverse. Backwards rhythms, A choir of tormented screams, growls and rasps, What sounds like manipulated and looped guitars and various other static textures and noise elements come at you at once. An Industrial grade spin cycle that may or may not be a rift, portal or vortex to the depths of Hell.An utter cacophony of cataclysmic chaos. All is dense, Lo-fi and terrifying. Reversed female voices scream in absolute terror within a maelstrom of madness and mayhem.I honestly can't say that I've ever heard a release quitelike this. Even the many Blackened Noise projects we'vecovered over the years haven't been quite in line withwhat SLUICE ROOM are cooking up in their chaotic cauldron. It sounds like an endless trash compactor is crushing junkmetal, scraps of wreckage, human bodies (both dead and alive)and all manner of filth and trash in a mid-paced cyclic rhythm. There are faint traces of melody buried in the mix that createa pretty cool backing atmosphere. Things twist, Turn and Transitiontaking us further down the rabbit hole and leading us into different passages where some layers shine through more than others. Obscuredvocal chants begin to rise towards the end in a mantra that we can'tquite decipher. Either way the spell is cast and you're fucked.II.) THE CONJURER'S WORK UNDONE:The next and final track is a bit different. "The Conjurer's WorkUndone" spreads out like multiple sheets of static being laid ontop of one another. Strange mumbles and mutterings are heard asif secrets are being exchanged but are not audible enough tocomprehend. Lo-fi drones radiate and resonate creating panoramicstretches of sound that vanish without warning and without a trace.Electronic signals are sent through phasers in cyclic movements. The whole piece is strangely captivating and at times becomeshypnotic. Rising layers of filth spin like Industrial caliberturbine blades at varying speeds...Sending rushing gusts ofdense wind throughout the piece. They gain speed as a howlingresonance becomes noticed, Adding an eerie and ghostly qualityto the track. Although I've heard similar stuff many times frommany artists...I've never heard it quite like this. SLUICE ROOMdefinitely have their own sound and a unique quality to theirwork that I can't quite find the words for. Disregarding whatI said before...After getting further into this release I mustsay that these guys do have a very clinical sound to them. Atleast on this one. Sounding something like a large, Monotonous machine working hard to disinfect various types of medical waste in a dimly lit boiler room in the far reaches of a run down facility. The ambiance of a mental institution for your listening pleasure.AN INTERESTING FIRST EXPERIENCE WITH BOTH THIS PROJECT AND THISLABEL. I AM DEFINITELY WANTING TO HEAR MORE:8/10-ABATTOIR-
