Description

Choir of Young Believers. This Is For The White In Your Eyes.

More By Choir of Young Believers.

Choir of Young Believers is the musical project of singer, writer and guitarist Jannis Noya Makrigiannis from Copenhagen, Denmark. The band, which consists of Makrigiannis along with a rotating cast of supporting players, has had multiple No 1 hits in their home country of Denmark and was named the "Best New Act" at the 2009 Danish Music Awards. COYB’s music combines folk melodies, orchestral instrumentation, and dark lyrics.

Fans of the Bon Iver school of album mythology will like the style of indie veteran Jannis Noya Makrigiannis. After splitting with his old band, Lake Placid, he took off to a village on a Greek island, where he wrote the songs that would become his debut solo album. Sometimes it works brilliantly: opener Hollow Talk, built around a single repeated piano note, is hauntingly good.

Echoes start as a cross in you Trembling noises that come too soon Spatial movement which seems to you Resonating your mask or feud Hollow talking and a hollow girl Force it up from the root of pain.
