Текст песни: I’m seeing a plane crash, and this is your captain speaking We’re going down, down, down, enjoy your last moments breathing If you never told me, of how you regret everything Take it back, back, back, before you get on your next plane.

1) Wilhelm Furtwängler (1886-1954) was one of the greatest conductors of the past 100 years, the era of recorded music – in the opinion of many, the greatest. Furtwängler possessed the great secret of proportio. e understood how to interpret phrases, themes, sections, movements, and entire symphonies as artistic unities. It is safe to say that never in his life did Furtwängler give a routine performance. (2) Good recorded sound is essential for revealing those details of phrasing and intonation that distinguish a Furtwängler performance.

Wilhelm Furtwängler drew great inspiration from his homeland's rich cultural heritage, and his world revolved around music, especially German music. Although essentially non-political, he was an ardent patriot, and leaving his fatherland was simply out of the question. Ideologically he may perhaps be best characterized as a man of the "old" Germany - a Wilhelmine conservative and an authoritarian elitist. Among the most historically fascinating and sought-after recordings of Wilhelm Furtwängler performances are his live wartime concerts with the Berlin and Vienna Philharmonic orchestras. Many were recorded by the Reich Broadcasting Company on magnetophonic tape with comparatively good sound quality. Brahms, Four Symphonies - Music & Arts set CD 941 (includes two January 1945 performances, Furtwängler's last during the war). Bruckner, Fifth Symphony (1942) - Music & Arts CD 538.
