I've found that one of the secrets to getting along socially (at least on a surface level, it's not gonna instantly get you deep and fulfilling relationships) is to assume that everyone would rather like you than dislike you until proven otherwise. Because it's true for most people, I'd rather find out this person I just met is cool than find out that they're a douche.

Not Accepted Anywhere. During their Not Accepted Anywhere tour the band were noted for their energetic live performances, particularly the antics of keyboardist Alex Pennie, whose performances would involve running around the stage with a Cow bell, strangling himself with a microphone, climbing on-top of amps and speakers.
Simply put, socially acceptable behavior is behavior that is accepted as normal or appropriate within a social culture or subculture. Keeping in mind that a social subculture may often be as small as just two people, the practical definition of socially acceptable actions can quickly become quite granular. Furthermore, if we consider the various factors that may be in play in each circumstance where the opportunity for social appropriateness arises, what is considered socially acceptable may vary drastically as well.
From drinking to gambling to sex, addictions can range from socially acceptable behavior to socially deviant behavior. The stereotype of someone with an addiction is a social deviant - someone who breaks the accepted norms of human behavior. But this isn't always the case. Behavior that is perceived as socially deviant is highly stigmatized, which often causes as many or more problems for the person engaging in the behavior than the addiction itself - if there even is an addiction. There is a large gray area between socially deviant behavior and socially accepted or "sanctioned" behavior, although sub-groups of people with addictions have their own prescribed behaviors and social sanctions that.
