Christmas is the twelfth studio album and the first Christmas album by Kenny Rogers released in 1981. Several original Christmas songs are also included, which have also now become well-known via this album. Christmas was also the origin of Kenny's first holiday single, "Kentucky Home Made Christmas".

Kenny Rogers and Christmas music just seem to go together. Dating back to 1981's Christmas, the singer has enjoyed almost a separate career with his holiday offerings. Once Upon a Christmas (with Dolly Parton) from 1984 remains a Yuletide standard, while later albums Christmas in America (1989), The Gift (1996) and Christmas From the Heart (1998) continue to sell well during the season. After signing a new record deal in 2013 with Warner Bros  . I've always had this theory that when it comes to duets, you don't commit to partners; you commit to songs. You then find a partner who will sing that song best.

Once Upon a Christmas is a 1984 Christmas album by Dolly Parton and Kenny Rogers. The album was accompanied by a Christmas television special titled Kenny & Dolly: A Christmas to Remember, which originally aired on CBS on December 2, 1984 and has been rerun numerous times, though never issued on home video or DVD despite public demand (bootleg copies have been produced in large quantities). A single, "The Greatest Gift of All" (No. 53 Country, No. 81 Pop, and No. 40 Adult Contemporary) was released from the album. In the United Kingdom, "Christmas Without You" was issued as the single.
