In the Aeroplane Over the Sea is the second and final album by the American indie rock band Neutral Milk Hotel. It was released in the United States on February 10, 1998 on Merge Records and in the United Kingdom in May 1998 on Blue Rose Records. Songwriter Jeff Mangum moved from Athens, Georgia to Denver, Colorado to prepare the album's material with producer Robert Schneider at Schneider's new Pet Sounds Studio in the home of musician Jim McIntyre.

And one day we will die And our ashes will fly From the aeroplane over the sea But for now we are young Let us lay in the sun And count every beautiful thing we can see. Love to be In the arms of all I'm keeping here with me. What a curious life We have found here tonight There is music that sounds from the street There are lights in the clouds Anna's ghost all around Hear her voice as it's rolling and ringing through me. Soft and sweet How the notes all bend and reach above the trees

So, then, seven years later Domino reissues In the Aeroplane Over the Sea and the arguments can begin anew  . I've talked about this album with a lot of people, including Pitchfork readers and music writers, and while it is loved in the indie world like few others, a small but still significant number despise it. Aeroplane doesn't have the near-consensus of top-shelf 90s rock artifacts like, say, Loveless, OK Computer, or Slanted and Enchanted. These records are varied, of course, different in many ways. But in one key respect Aeroplane stands apart: This album is not cool. Shortly after the release of In the Aeroplane Over the Sea, Puncture magazine had a cover story on Neutral Milk Hotel.

Donald Trump is said to have 'bombarded' Princess Diana with flowers. Businessman reportedly sent Diana bouquets after her marriage broke up. Veteran broadcaster also claims Trump saw her as the ultimate trophy wife. Donald Trump saw Princess Diana as the ‘ultimate trophy wife’ and ‘bombarded’ her with flowers following the breakdown of her marriage, it has been claimed. Broadcaster Selina Scott said the billionaire businessman pursued the Princess of Wales to the point of ‘stalking’ in the mistaken belief he ‘had a shot’ with her. But Miss Scott, 64, who has a long-running feud with Mr Trump, claimed he actually gave Diana ‘the creeps’. Scroll down for video. Notably, the album contains several references to Anne Frank, a noted author of The Diary of Anne Frank, which details her time hiding from Nazis during the Holocaust. Mangum was deeply affected by the diary, and stated he had "cried for three days" after reading it. Spread. The album sold exceptionally well as its legacy spread. Ten years after its release, Slate reported the album was selling 25,000 copies a year. The album's cover became an iconic image online.

The enemy army retreated after we bombarded them with grenades. 2. By extension, to subject someone to something repeatedly. to cast or shoot something at someone or something.
