Beach Boys Concert" is a live album by The Beach Boys, released in 1964. It was their seventh album, and their third alone in the same year. It provided The Beach Boys with their first album in the US, remaining at the top for four weeks and becoming another gold seller. It is also the only live document of the original five members of The Beach Boys in officially released LP form. Studio doctoring on "Beach Boys Concert" is evident, from the overdubbed vocals, and the fact that the concert also featured recordings from December 1963 (where announcer Fred Vail's introduction comes from). Most obviously, Brian Wilson used the original music tracks for both "Fun, Fun, Fun" (which was sped up) and "I Get Around", both of which had elements removed to make them appear as though they were new performances. A truncated version was released on Pickwick Records as Wow! Great Concert!.
Recorded live in Sacramento in 1964, the Beach Boys run through several of their big early hits and a bunch of covers that hadn't made it to record. The screaming, while not at a Beatles Live at the Hollywood Bowl level, is loud enough to present a real problem as far as sonic clarity, especially given that the instruments aren't recorded too well either. Even more crucially, the Beach Boys simply didn't play nearly as well on-stage as on record, at least at this concert; the arrangements are thin and the playing and singing are ragged, though the group is enthusiastic

The Beach Boys Concert was a hugely popular album, their first LP. Here they are in their classic striped shirts before a totally wild audience. Every fan should have this album. The surprise here is the Live In London album, recorded in late 1968 at two English venues. It's shameful the way America treated the Beach Boys after 1966. Of course there was a long gap between Good Vibrations and Heroes and Villains and everything had changed after Sergeant Pepper.
