James Kunisada Carpante è un disco un po’ vecchio stile. Voler ricuperare sound lontani dal tempo, senza molta originalità crea un po’ di banalità e pesantezza. Le tracce si trascinano lentamente e nonostante il sax di Mariano Lucchese faccia di tutto per inserire qualche perla di vigore, il sound non decolla.

Karen Carpenter is the only solo album by singer/drummer Karen Carpenter of the Carpenters, recorded in 1979-80 and released by A&M Records in 1996. It has sold around 1 million copies worldwide. The album was recorded in New York with producer Phil Ramone in 1979 and 1980, during the time that her brother Richard was being treated for an addiction to Quaaludes. Some of the songs from the album were later featured on the Carpenters' 1989 compilation Lovelines and later releases.

Time is the first solo album by American musician Richard Carpenter. Dionne Warwick, Dusty Springfield and Scott Grimes sang on the album, on the songs "In Love Alone", "Something in Your Eyes", and "That's What I Believe", respectively. The song "When Time Was All We Had" is dedicated to Richard's sister, Karen. It was later included on the 3-CD compilation The Ultimate Collection. Say Yeah!" The Kunisada of the title is an ukiyo-e artist known as Toyokuni III, who appears in the centre of the picture. Teraoka depicts him visiting Hawaii in a dream. The characters on the scroll Kunisada is working on translate as ‘drawing a swimming fish in a summer’s se. Text on the left of the image cheekily declares the sight of the woman’s scantily clad bottom as: ‘A super view: better than an eclipse. The woman is identified as ‘American woman: Marabeth Cohen’.
