Orden Ogan is a German power metal band with progressive and folk metal elements. The band was formed in 1996 by Sebastian Grütling (drums) and Sebastian Levermann (lead vocals and guitar). They currently have 3 demo albums and 6 studio albums and are signed with AFM Records. They are also the organizers of the German metal festival WinterNachtsTraum, which has featured such bands as Rage, Sinister, Axxis, Ensiferum, Van Canto, and Agathodaimon.

Band Name Orden Ogan. I listenend to the Opener "To new shores of Sadness" and I knew instantly that this would be a terrific album. The song has an intelligent, always slightly changing structure that is typical for Orden Ogan and a great chorus with good choir parts that's not too bombastic. Overall, Orden Ogan's 'Vale' is absolutely fantastic with no weak points whatsoever. Their musical expression in the melodic metal genre is really something worth listening to and I urge everybody to go out and purchase this CD. 2008 is the year of Orden Ogan's rise through the metal ranks, and Vale should be one of the best metal releases of this year. Now I cannot wait for Orden Ogan's third album and let's hope it's not another four years until we get our hands on it. Originally written for both ww. hemetalforge. Orden Ogan's first album, Testimonium AD, was a solid debut that showed a lot of promise. Sections of it may have been a bit too mellow for the narrow-minded on this board, but the album was bolstered by the sheer awesome hook of "Angel's War". That song alone showed that this was a band with a bright future.
