This song by Toni Arden reveals what a beautiful voice she had. This is another record I first heard on AM radio station KCHJ in California in 1967

Queen is the self-titled debut studio album by the British rock band Queen, released on 13 July 1973 by EMI Records in the UK and by Elektra Records in the US. It was recorded at Trident Studios and De Lane Lea Music Centre, London, with production by Roy Thomas Baker, John Anthony and the band members themselves. The album was influenced by heavy metal and progressive rock. The lyrics are based on a variety of topics, including folklore ("My Fairy King") and religion ("Jesus").
Toni Arden, Soundtrack: Sunny Side of the Street. Starting out as a band singer (most notably with Al Trace) in the early 1940s, Toni became a solo act in the late 40s and through the 50s cut over twenty singles, only one of which went gold, "Padre" (1958). However, she was well known as a reliable singer of standards and pop ballads. She appeared in a number of films and television shows.

In Aloof King and Cold (Acting) Queen, a young man was transported from modern Japan to a fantasy land. In the beginning, he merely lived peacefully with the people who found him. However, a twist of fate made him turn into a queen for neighboring country's king. It was an adorable love story with myth-like nuances which will surely make you smile silly every now and then more the second half. The king was outwardly aloof, but the queen was not really cold.
Toni Arden - Padre Lyrics. Our cottage was small But richer than all The palaces of a king All day, the birds would sing Our hearts were full of spring. Padre, padre, what happened To our love so true Padre, padre, in my grief I turn to you. Then she came along And sang him her song And won him with honeyed lies She of the golden eyes Now it's my heart that cries. So I kneel and pray The hours away And weary my heart has grown Wondering where love has flown Counting my beads alone. Padre, padre, please tell me How such things can be Padre, padre, pray for My love and me. Show All Toni Arden Songs.
