Description

Last weekend we asked our readers to select the best album covers of all time. In the age of the MP3, the album cover is really a lost art – which probably explains why 90 percent of the albums that readers selected come from the 1960s and the 1970s, though London Calling is somewhat of a grey area. It was released in Europe in December 1979, but it didn't hit American shelves until January 1980. Here are readers' picks for the 10 greatest album covers of all time. 10. The Velvet Underground, ‘The Velvet Underground & Nico’

Almost all of these consist of mainstream, or more commercial, artists. 750 nominations, boiled down to 60 entries. The results are now in. And while your number one choice might not come us a surprise, there’s plenty of interesting entries. Almost all of these consist of mainstream, or more commercial, artists

Of the 30 top readers' choices, only one album (Magnum's Lost On The Road To Eternity) didn't appear in our original list, but it's at the top of the chart that it gets really interesting. The album we chose as our favourite – Clutch's magnificent Book Of Bad Decisions – came in fifth, while the rest of the top five features a band who've only just released their debut album, a band who've put out more than 20 in total, and someone who resurfaced with their first album in over two decades.

This Loudwire Readers Poll asks you to determine which of Korn's albums is their best. Korn remained still somewhat of an underground band with a growing following with their first two albums. Meanwhile, 1996's 'Life Is Peachy' followed with the breakout song '. But it wasn't until their third album that they became a massive band.
