Lyrics to "Better Way" song by James Ingram: Won't change my mind, I'm on my way Wanna see this paradise I have a dream and it's so clear Won't . .Yeah, yeah) There's gotta be a better way To put the love inside my life, baby There's gotta be a better way Without your loving here when will I find love? I'm coming down on promises Wanna put 'em far away (Yeah, yeah) 'Cause what I feel is oh so real It's gonna be a better day (Yeah). Don't try to tell me what to do Don't try to turn my head (No) Don't try to tell me who I am 'Cause freedom lives in me, so wild and free

Lyrics to Better Way by James Ingram from the Beverly Hills Cop II album - including song video, artist biography, translations and more! . Since beginning his career in 1973, Ingram has charted eight . Top 40 hits on the Billboard Hot 100 from the early 1980s until the early 1990s, as well charting with thirteen top 40 hits on the R&B singles chart. He has also amassed two number-one singles on the Hot 100: "Baby, Come to Me" which top the US pop chart in 1983 (a duet with R&B singer Patti Austin) and "I Don't Have the Heart", which became his second No. 1 in 1990, his first as a solo artist
James Ingram racked up a number of adult contemporary-styled R&B pop hits in the 1980s, many of them duets, and the bulk of those hits are collected on this 12-track 1991 compilation. His music may at times seem somewhat melodramatic, registering on the pop spectrum somewhere between Michael Bolton and Billy Ocean, but nonetheless exemplifies top-notch 1980s adult contemporary pop production at its zenith. To this date, however, this short set stands as the definitive James Ingram retrospective.
For as a guiding concept, IDM raises way more issues than it settles. What exactly is intelligence as manifested in music? Is it an inherent property of certain genres, or more about a mode of listening to any and all music? After all, it’s possible to listen to and write about stupid forms of music with scintillating intellect. Equally, millions listen to smart sounds like jazz or classical in a mentally inert way, using it as a background ambience of sophistication or uplifting loftiness. Right from the start, IDM was freighted with some problematic assumptions.
It is the only gold-certified (500,000 copies sold) album of his career. 1984: Bronx DJ Afrika Bambaataa teams up with Brown to record the anthemic single "Unity". 1986: "Living In America", the theme song from Rocky IV, reaches on Billboard's Hot 100 chart, becoming Brown's biggest pop hit since "I Got You (I Feel Good)" went to in 1965.
