Gyllene Tider was released on 18 February 1980 and is the debut album from Swedish pop group Gyllene Tider. The album peaked at No. 1 on the Swedish albums chart and No. 27 on the Norwegian albums chart. Aa of July 1981, the debut has sold 150,000 copies in Sweden since its release. Side A. Gyllene Tider (also known as den gula EP:n, Billy-EP:n), is a promo EP from Swedish pop group Gyllene Tider, released in November 1978 and released in 900 copies. It should not be confused with the Gyllene Tider EP, which was released in 1996.

Moderna Tider was Gyllene Tider’s sophomore album, IE album Very hard to follow up and the previous album, Gyllene Tider, had been a huge success. The album had sold 304,680 copies by December 31, 1982. The original title was Självutlösning (Self Ejaculation) a pun, that stayed in line with the camera on the sleeve. The name was changed in the 11th hour to Moderna Tider (Modern Times) after the Charlie Chaplin movie.

Gyllene Tider reunited again on August 14, 2010, as a surprise encore during Roxette's concert in Halmstad, both bands' hometown. They performed a three-song set, featuring the songs "Juni, Juli, Augusti", "Sommartider", and "När alla vännerna gått hem", with Marie Fredriksson and the rest of the Roxette band joining them on stage for the last number. In January 2013, the group announced a new album and summer tour in Sweden, both called "Dags att tänka på refrängen".
