Companies, etc. Published By – Universal Music Publishing. I got this album solely on the strength of an interesting looking advertisement in a local music publication and I can't stop playing it. Stylistically, it's so far removed from what I normally listen to (electronic/dance), but there's a point where all good music meets. It has crisp beats and rhythyms, minimalist production, no-nonsense vocals and nothing here is overcooked. The same things that were desirable in dance music 50 years ago are still desirable today. And by lovingly recreating a 50 year old musical style, these guys have actually managed to come up with something.
Album · 2011 · 14 Songs. More By Kitty, Daisy & Lewis. See All. Mean Son of a Gun - EP. 2006. Going Up the Country - Single. Kitty Daisy & Lewis.
ts Kitty, Daisy & Lewis released three albums (including one re-release) in three years starting in 2007. After taking 2010 off from releasing an album, the Durham siblings are back with Smoking in Heaven. Smoking in Heaven has 13 songs, all of them written by one of the siblings with a few written by all three of them. The benefit of the three siblings writing different songs gives the album an eclectic sound varying from country-like vocals, a horn section with a swing-vibe and rockabilly guitars and drums.
