Rhyme & Reason is the second album by American new wave band Missing Persons, released in 1984. After the successful debut album by the band, this LP fell flat in sales. The pleasant-sounding "Surrender Your Heart" was its signature single. A video was created for it featuring animations from famous artist Peter Max and received heavy rotation on MTV, but the track was largely ignored by AOR radio

Though some consider this to be Missing Persons' best album, it is, in essence, a catalog of flawed ambition and missed opportunities. For other, more sober critics, the band's moment had passed and they were in serious danger of outstaying their welcome. Trite rock songs such as "Surrender Your Heart" did little to assuage that opinion.

While Missing Persons' 2nd album DOESN'T quite compare to 1982's "Spring Session M" OR 1986's "Color In Your Life", I feel that this album is definitely recommended. One person found this helpful. All I had was a cassette version. Now, I also have it on CD and LP and will convert it to digital. Some of the best songs include: Surrender Your Heart, All Fall Down, Give, and others. It's a shame it's so rare, but I'm thrilled to have it in such prime condition. After trying to digitize it, three songs would not be accepted to iCloud, so they live on my hard drive, which is okay, but I wish they were backed up. It is a Japanese import, and my iMac did not recognize it the first time I tried.
