There's a fine line dividing trancelike repetition from snooze-inducing redundancy, and this album frequently teeters on the latter side of it. Eternal Dance is a decent attempt at creating the same sort of Indian-influenced dance music that made Talvin Singh's Anokha and Vedic's Rhythmic Intelligence such timely ethno-techno classics, but Atman comes across more like the world-pop of Deep Forest, lacking the depth to concoct a truly seamless pan-cultural fusion
