Album Dance 'til Quarter to Three With . I said, a-hey-hey-hey-yeah (I said a-hey-hey-hey-yeah) I said, a-hey, a-hey-hey-yeah (Said, a-hey, a-hey-hey-yeah). Well, come on ev'rybody Take a trip with me Well, down the Mississippi Down to New Orleans. They got the honeysuckle bloomin' On the honeysuckle vine And a-love is a-bloomin' there All-a the time. New Orleans was Gary . Bonds' first hit, going into the Top Ten in the early 1960s. It defined the kind of sound he’d milk throughout the early 1960s: uptempo party music that was more rock'n'roll than rhythm and blues, catchy choruses and vocal hooks, a thumping beat, and a murky mix. The record sold itself before the first real verse, with the infectious, echoed eat drum pattern and Bonds' exuberant yell hey hey hey yeah.

Bonds - New Orleans Songtext. Come on everybody take a rtip with me Down the Mississippi down to New Orleans. The honey suckle is bloomin on the honeysuckle vine And love is bloomin there all the time. Every Southern belle is a Mississippi queen, Down the Mississippi down in New Orleans. Come on take a stroll down to Basin Street And listen to the music with the Dixieland beat. The magnolia blossoms fills the air. If you ain't been to heaven, then you ain't been there.
