The Very Best Of (released as The Complete Greatest Hits in the UK, Australia, and New Zealand) is a two-disc compilation album by the Eagles, released in 2003. This album combines all tracks that appeared on the two previously released Eagles greatest hits albums (Their Greatest Hits (1971-1975) & Eagles Greatest Hits, Vol. 2), along with other singles not included on the first two compilations, album tracks and the new track "Hole in the World".

The Very Best of Prince earned 179,000 equivalent album units in the week ending April 21 (up 10,872 percent compared to the previous week). Of that sum, 100,000 were in traditional album sales (up 11,232 percent). As for Purple Rain, it shifted 69,000 units (63,000 in pure album sales; up 3,101 percent). The remaining two discs were his previously released The Ultimate Hits best-of, first issued as a stand-alone album in 2007. For me the best album this year was Smells like teen spirit by Nirvana. Though FIS’s music developed in the early 2010s in wake of two devastating, scene-destroying earthquakes in New Zealand, this is the first time Peryman’s music has sounded so in tune with nature. SeaPR’ and ‘Sieve Stack’ feel as oceanic as Fennesz’s Endless Summer, but they boil and thunder with an untamed fervor. Similarly, The Life of Pablo sounds very different since his claim that he would have voted Trump and his subsequent hospitalisation; the lyrics about his mood swings when he’s off his Lexapro feel particularly sad and pointed.

Undoubtedly the album of 1980. AC/DC show there’s life after Bon Scott by bringing in Brian ‘Beano’ Johnson on vocals and retaining the production talents of Robert John ‘Mutt’ Lange. The results, from the tolling turbulence of Hell’s Bells to the defiant Rock’n’Roll Ain’t Noise Pollution, are awe-inspiring.
