Atrophy is a thrash metal band formed in Tucson, Arizona. As the result of their fast-playing style and lyrics (often covering death, politics and social issues), the band has been compared to that of their thrash metal contemporaries such as Testament, Vio-lence, Forbidden, Sacred Reich and Nuclear Assault. Atrophy, originally named Heresy, was formed in 1986 by Chris Lykins, James Gulotta, and Brian Zimmerman. Tim Kelly and Rick Skowron later joined the band.

But I keep coming back to listen to it again and again. Moving to a more black metal style, the bands background in neocrust or dark hardcore really sets them apart.
