The Pineapple Thief is a British progressive rock band, started by Bruce Soord in 1999 in Somerset, England. The band has released twelve studio albums. Founder Bruce Soord started The Pineapple Thief as an outlet for his music back in 1999. Soord released the debut Abducting the Unicorn on Cyclops Records, which created enough interest to establish a small but loyal fan base

137 is the second album from alternative rock band Pineapple Thief. Itīs not a bad album but pretty average alternative rock. 137 is a bit more experimental without leaving commercial territory though. The music can be described as a mix of Radiohead, Porcupine Tree ( Stupid Dream, Lightbulp Sun) and a bit of Smashing Pumpkins. As in Bruce's work with VU this is an album that brings together many different styles in a way that is cognisant of them but also very much in an area of their ow. he debut album may have made 137 in the DPRP Chart of 2000 but I am sure that this one will finish far higher.
