In this album, Julio is called Cerpin Taxt. Most of the tracks contain dreamlike images, but in Televators we’re pulled back to reality, and the fictional narrative matches real life. Venegas was a visual artist himself, and was a big influence on the imagery of the album.

Live is the first officially released live recording from the band The Mars Volta. The EP was released in limited quantities in 2003 and is now difficult to find. The first two tracks were recorded live at the XFM Studio in London, 2003. The last two tracks were recorded at the Electric Ballroom in London on July 9, 2003.

The Mars Volta Lyrics.

The Mars Volta have a sixth member who always remains unseen. He engineers the sound effects rife throughout the band's recordings, including the bird sound effects on this song. Flea from the Red Hot Chili Peppers played bass on all of the tracks on Deloused In The Comatorium except this song.
