Udo Lindenberg (born 17 May 1946 in Gronau) is a German singer, drummer, rock musician and composer. Lindenberg started his musical career as a drummer. In 1969, he founded his first band Free Orbit and also appeared as a studio and guest musician (with Michael Naura, Knut Kiesewetter). In 1970 he collaborated as a drummer with jazz saxophonist Klaus Doldinger in Munich. In 1971 Passport, a band founded by Doldinger, released its first album, with Lindenberg on drums

Being unaware of the German music scene I decided to go on the hunt for background information on Mr. Lindenberg, I found a song of his called 'Reeperbahn' which I can only describe as a cross between Johnny Cash and The Beetles! Those are compliments in the highest respect and Udo has such great talent it is hard to not like the music he is putting out. Udo's show was full with enthusiastic fans, there was just about enough space to move your arms and legs but everybody rushed to the center where they could get the absolute best view of the star.
