New Gods is the second album by indie rock musician Withered Hand, released on 10 March 2014. It features appearances from Pam Berry of Black Tambourine, as well as Eugene Kelly, Scott Hutchison and members of Belle and Sebastian and King Creosote. It was funded in part by Creative Scotland.

What'd I Say is the fifth studio album recorded by Ray Charles, and was released in 1959. The release popularized Charles' first top 10 hit, "What'd I Say", and became his first gold record. The album is included in Robert Christgau's "Basic Record Library" of 1950s and 1960s recordings, published in Christgau's Record Guide: Rock Albums of the Seventies (1981). What did they say when they asked if the image could be used for the album? I don’t know specifically how the band first came to see the image. The band presumably first saw the image at my solo show at Yossi Milo Gallery in New York City. When I asked her about it she texted me the following: Brand New fans feel very emotionally connected to the music. The album art contributes a lot to the music's meaning, so by simply being in the photo, I feel like I’m contributing to an emotion felt by fans. I consider myself a small part of the vehicle to help people learn more about themselves and what they love, which is a real honor.
