Moon was inspired to release a solo album after bandmate John Entwistle had released Smash Your Head Against the Wall (with Moon playing percussion and singing backing vocals) and Whistle Rymes (also with Moon), and Roger Daltrey released his hit album Daltrey. With Pete Townshend soon to do his own solo album, Moon decided to make one as well. Two Sides of the Moon is the debut and only solo album by English rock musician Keith Moon, drummer for the Who. It peaked at No. 155 on the Billboard 200. Recorded at The Record Plant, Los Angeles, California and completed at Christmas, 1974. Of course, the caliber of musicians involved can only make the album even more of a disappointment, provided you actually expect something decent.
