Sparkle: Original Motion Picture Soundtrack is the soundtrack album for the 2012 Sony/TriStar Pictures film Sparkle, a remake of the 1976 film of the same name. The album was released through Sony Music Entertainment's RCA Records on July 31, 2012. The film's soundtrack includes new recordings of four songs from the original film's soundtrack as well as new original music by Jordin Sparks, Whitney Houston and Cee Lo Green

Sparkle is the 1998 self–titled debut album by American singer, Sparkle. It was released on May 20, 1998 through Interscope Records and was entirely produced by her former mentor R. Kelly. The album was a success in large part to the Sparkle-R. Kelly duet "Be Careful", which peaked at 3 on the Rhythmic Top 40 and 1 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay. The album itself peaked at 3 on the Billboard 200 and was certified Gold on December 7, 2000.

Unfortunately, that burden is heavy: The original film was inspired by the Supremes’ story, with songs written by Curtis Mayfield and performed on the soundtrack by Aretha Franklin.
