Heavenly Creatures started as the bedroom recording project of Amy Shoff (guitar, vocals) and became a live band featuring Thomas De Cardenas (bass) and Eric Sandt (drums). They released the "This Summer Will Kill Us All" EP on Jigsaw Records in 2017 and this year they self-released a cassingle with the songs "If You Survive, We'll Give You a Name" and "The Cheerleaders' Table.

Last summer may have nearly killed the band (when their drummer moved cross-country and the band almost split up), but this year - and this EP - finds them starting again on a high note. All songs written by Heavenly Creatures.

Heavenly Creatures is a 1994 New Zealand psychological thriller directed by Peter Jackson, from a screenplay he co-wrote with his partner, Fran Walsh, about the notorious 1954 Parker–Hulme murder case in Christchurch, New Zealand. The film features Melanie Lynskey and Kate Winslet in their screen debuts with supporting roles by Sarah Peirse, Diana Kent, Clive Merrison, and Simon O'Connor
