The Neighbourhood is the self-titled third studio album by American alternative band The Neighbourhood. It was released on March 9, 2018 by Columbia Records. It was preceded by two EPs: Hard, which was released on September 22, 2017, and To Imagine, released on January 12, 2018. The tracks from the extended plays that were not finally included on the album were compiled in another EP called Hard to Imagine.

Californian indie band The Neighbourhood announced their self-titled third studio album on February 15th, 2018 alongside the release of Void. Nervous was premiered on Beats 1 Radio with Zane Lowe on March 1st, 2018 as the second single. Released on March 9th, 2018, The Neighbourhood consists of 12 tracks, four of which were already released with the previous EPs Hard and To Imagine. The project utilizes sounds from their previous records and toys with 80s new wave sounds and R&B influences to create a unique and refreshing alternative pop album. Whilst the band have made mainly indie and alternative music in past, this time they’re unapologetically experimenting with pop music on tracks like Scary Love.

The Neighbourhood is an American alternative rock band that originated in Newbury Park, California in 2011. The band's members consist of singer Jesse Rutherford, guitarists Jeremy Freedman and Zach Abels, bassist Mikey Margott, and drummer Brandon Fried. The EP was produced by Justyn Pilbrow. They released their second EP, Thank You,, in December of 2012. To promote their debut album, I Love Yo. the band performed at Coachella in 2013. The album was premiered via Rolling Stone on April 16th, 2013, and saw an official release on April 23rd through Columbia Records. It debuted at on the US Billboard 200 albums chart, having sold nine thousand units within the first week of its release. The music video for Sweater Weather, the lead single of the album, was released on March 5th, 2013.
