Chant is an album of Gregorian chant, performed by the Benedictine Monks of Santo Domingo de Silos in Spain. The music did not sell significantly until it was re-released by Angel in 1994 when it was strongly marketed as an antidote to the stress of modern life. Chant is the best-selling album of Gregorian chant ever released.

Singer, songwriter and guitarist Buddy Alan, born Alvis Alan Owens, is the son of country legends Buck and Bonnie Owens. While growing up in Bakersfield, California, he listened to country and rock & roll and formed his first rock band, the Chosen Few, at the age of 14. He switched to country music by his late teens and in 1965 moved to Arizona with his mother and her new husband Merle Haggard. That year he released two more singles and also recorded his first album, Wild, Free and Twenty One. He then joined his father's All American Show and continued touring the country. Alan again made it to the charts in 1970 with the single "Santo Domingo. In late 1970, he and Buckaroo lead guitarist Don Rich recorded the popular "Cowboy Convention," and Alan was named Most Promising Male Artist by the ACM. From 1971-1975, Alan continued to release modestly successful singles.

Just a thought because I'm new to this whole travelling alone thing but I wondered whether there were any legit ways to possibly hire a travel buddy for the week, who can show you around and translate for you when your going shopping so you don't get ripped off. Sorry if this seems like a silly question as i'm still learning lol.

Even though Alan didn't possess the showmanship or voice of his father, Buck Owens, he did manage to put out some noteworthy material. One of the finest tracks on the compilation is the ballad "Here in Frisco," written especially for Alan by his stepfather, Merle Haggard, who obviously knew the type of arrangement and lyrical content that would best suit Buddy's laid-back, melancholic delivery.

Alan Edgar "Buddy" Owens (born May 23, 1948 in Mesa, Arizona), known professionally as Buddy Alan, is an American country music artist. He also charted eight singles in the Top 40 on the Billboard country charts, including his No. 7 debut single "Let the World Keep On A-Turnin'", a duet with Buck.
