The James Brown Revue: Live At The Apollo IV has never been issued before on vinyl or CD. These recordings come from the famous concert recorded over two nights in September of 1972 at the mecca of music in NYC. It features The JBs, Bobby Byrd, Lyn Collins, and The Godfather of Soul himself, James Brown. While there have been three previous volumes of the Live At The Apollo series, with the first being arguably the best live record of all time, Volume IV focuses on the hot bed of talent JB brought into his stable during this time

Live at the Apollo, Volume II is a 1968 live double album by James Brown and The Famous Flames, recorded in 1967 at the Apollo Theater in Harlem. It is a follow-up to Brown's 1963 recording, Live at the Apollo. It is best known for the long medley of "Let Yourself Go", "There Was a Time", and "I Feel All Right", followed by "Cold Sweat", which document the emergence of Brown's funk style. It peaked at on the Billboard albums chart.

From 1963 to 1971, James Brown had released not one but three albums recorded live at Harlem's famed Apollo Theater. The first volume of the series is still rightfully revered today as one of the greatest live albums of all time

This second Live at the Apollo caught Brown giving full stick to both his classic soul-ballad style and the funk his band was developing practically in front of the crowds' ears. Even better than previous issues is this terrifically remastered version. Exclusive discount for Prime members. Where the 1962 Apollo album showed Brown performing as if he was cooking with fire, this first disc of the 1967 performance is as if he is cooking slowly over glowing coals. He is slow, deliberate, and extraordinarily Soulful!
