Ronald Michael Pope (born July 23, 1983) is an American pop and rock singer-songwriter. He is currently based in Nashville. Pope was raised in Marietta, Georgia. He attended East Cobb Middle School and Joseph Wheeler High School. He began playing the guitar at an early age due to an obsession with Bruce Springsteen. After high school, he attended Rutgers University for two years to play baseball

In 2005, Ron Pope wrote ‘A Drop In The Ocean’ with Zach Berkman. Although the song would not be released on an official album until a few years later, it was a song that would alter the course of Ron’s life. The song went viral and has since been used in numerous TV Shows. After a short time with Universal Republic records, Ron decided to go back to being an independent artist. He has released eight albums to date; with the most recent coming out this past week. Atlanta’ is his eighth album and blends classic ballads and upbeat pop music with a bit of a rougher edge

The raspy-voiced singer ruminates on heartbreak, partying, and hard living on rambunctious groovers ( White River Junction ) and ragged ballads ( Hotel Room ).
