While the first one centers around an endless piano and sucks you into the corny, but magic of repetition, the second one sounds like a Theo Parrish demo for Dance Mania after he came back from listening to Lil Louis at the Bismark Pavilion.

Those with Parrish’s most recent ‘Any Other Styles EP’ still fresh in their minds will surely have worked out that the Detroit kingpin is on some kind of hellbent mission to ruffle things up a tad – the ‘Hand Made EP’, though much more floor friendly than his previous, is no different - three tracks of unhinged and unprocessed, gut-wrenching idiosyncrasy.

I first went to see Theo Parrish at Plastic People sometime in 2008. I don't remember much about the night except it was dark, the atmosphere was heavy and Parrish played at least three different Peven Everett tunes in quick succession. The Detroit DJ held a long-running residency at the East London venue, earning a small but hardcore following.
