Armando Manzanero Canché (born in Mérida, Yucatán on 7 December 1935) is a Mexican musician, singer, and composer of Maya descent, widely considered the premier Mexican romantic composer of the postwar era and one of the most successful composers of Latin America. He received a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award in United States in 2014. He is the current president of the Mexican Society of Authors and Composers (Sociedad de Autores y Compositores de México).

He received a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award in United States in 2014 In 1965 he won the first place of the Festival de la Canción (Song Festival) in Miami with the song Cuando Estoy Contigo (When I'm With You). In 1970, his song "Somos Novios" was translated into English by Sid Wayne, composer for Elvis Presley.

Armando Manzanero Canché compone en 1950 su primera melodía titulada Nunca en el mundo con la que empieza una prolífica y afamada trayectoria musical reconocida en todos los continentes. En 1962 se posiciona en el quinto lugar del Festival de la Canción de México y en el 65 gana el de la ciudad de Miami con el tema Cuando estoy contigo. Durante los años 90 en su incursión como productor, es destacable su labor en el álbum Romance de Luis Miguel, en el que incluye canciones de su puño y letra como Te extraño y No sé tú. En 1993 la revista Billboard, debido a su alabada trayectoria musical, le otorga el Premio a la Excelencia constatando, de esta manera, la importancia de la figura de Manzanero en la historia de la música.
