Tornado is a remarkable song that translates pretty much everything that Minako represented for the whole city-pop scene during the 70s, while her quiet, toned-down take on Rainy Day offers beauty in silent portions (to state that it rivals the master Tatsuro Yamashita's version is a bit of a stretch, but it definitely comes close). A few other cuts on the first half display the soothing lady's songwriting qualites with occasional instrumental standouts, but the performances on this album are.

She recorded the album by singing over her piano playing and fusing other instrumentation on top of it, using a bare minimal number of musicians. The minimal approach succeeded in creating some very intimate acoustic style soul music
