Paul Cusick biography PAUL CUSICK, British born t, started his solo music career in 2009 with the release of his debut album "Focal Point". Previously CUSICK had spent years as the lead guitarist in several bands, but in 2008 his new year's resolution was to step out from behind his guitar and concentrate on his own song writing and production skills. Within four months CUSICK had received record offers from two separate progressive rock labels.
Focal Point' - Paul Cusick (. /10). Paul Cusick is a t with a very British sound to his progressive music. While he's been an active member of the scene for quite a while - doing session work for bands and playing guitar - 'Focal Point' is his first foray into a project driven primarily by his creative spirit. It is clear that Paul Cusick is a very talented musician. His voice and guitar style are very easily likened to that of David Gilmour, but his compositional style and production method is much alike that of Porcupine Tree's. Focal Point is a good album that fits in seamlessly in the gaps between David Gilmour's solo albums, Anathema, Chroma Key and the softer side of Porcupine Tree. And I'm quite sure it will appeal to all aficionados of that kind of music.
Focal Point (CD, Album). Focal Point (11xFile, FLAC).
Focal Point is the début album from Paul Cusick. Stepping out from behind his guitar "Focal Point" allows Cusick the freedom to play all the instruments (except drums which were played by Alex Cromarty and Andy Edwards IQ/FROST ), perform all the vocals, and produce his own songs without compromise.
