Prior to being known as Kwick, Terry Bartlett, William Sumlin and Bertram Brown for Stax as The Newcomers, having a hit in the early 70's with "Pin The Tail On The Donkey". They contributed plenty of background work for other artists on Stax and opened as a live act for label mates, Bar-Kays and Emotions

Kwick and to the Point were recorded for EMI America records in 1980 and 1981 respectively. Nightlife' is one of their most fondly remembered tunes with it's funky boogie groove that some DJs used to spin at a slower speed, and the album track 'We're Saying Goodbye Again' further motivation for Expansion to bring these two LPs together and release on CD for the first time. First to get two on one is always worth it. Secondly, these are really good albums. The first one Kwick is honestly a bit better then To The Point. Every track on the self titled album is top notch and the follow up is strong but have a couple of tracks that just average. One person found this helpful.
