Changes come like bullets A shock, but no pain Dear me, I see I'm alone again. I could have sworn I saw you On the street, yesterday And I'd envy you And those big sad eyes Well it must have been a mirage As I was caught up in the backdrops Just waiting to surface and destroy. I could have sworn I saw you On the street, yesterday And I'd envy you That was my first mistake Well it must have been a mirage Cause I was caught up in the backdrops Just waiting to surface and destroy. Changes come like bullets A shock but no pain Dear me, I see I'm alone again Changes.
Featuring the singles "Total Control" and "Closets & Bullets". It's one of the songs from their 1979 debut album The Motels. On the album they're exploring the darker sides of living in Los Angeles. The atmospheric and artful compositions of the band can be heard in their rocking and artful songs. The vocalist Martha Davis brings some songs to life with her beautiful voice. Celia" and "Kix" are two excellent crafted songs, but it's getting even better when you'll hear "Closets and Bullets". The album exudes the mood of excitement and danger of late Los Angeles at night
It was written by Martha Davis from their first album "The Motels" released in 1979. Very LA band - possibly the best. First song I heard was "Celia" also from their 1st Album and another classic. They really caught the atmosphere of the late 70s early 80s LA perfectly. Interesting that echo680 saw them in Manchester where I'm originally from. just hit on their debut album, and it's cool, every track!.
